ODYSSEY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTERS
Level of Care
We are committed to guiding individuals toward long-term sobriety by treating the underlying causes of substance use disorders — not simply managing short-term symptoms.
Our structured, evidence-based approach fosters stability, resilience, and sustainable recovery.
Athena offers multiple levels of care to support individuals at every stage of recovery, including Residential Treatment (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
Residential Treatment Center (RTC)
Athena’s Residential Treatment Center—also known as inpatient care—provides 24/7, highly structured treatment for individuals facing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Patients live on-site in a supportive and comfortable environment featuring well-appointed furnishings, scenic surroundings, and supervised group activities.
Treatment at the residential level is evidence-based and individualized, with a focus on symptom reduction and long-term stability. Services may include medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, cognitive remediation, mindfulness practices, art therapy, and other therapeutic modalities.
Residential treatment is the most intensive level of care at Athena and is designed for individuals experiencing severe symptoms or those requiring closely monitored detox services. This level of care is followed by Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient treatment.

PHP
Partial Hospitalization Program
The Partial Hospitalization Program provides structured, in-depth treatment for individuals managing addiction, mental health conditions, or co-occurring disorders. Treatment schedules are customized based on symptom severity, clinical needs, and personal circumstances.
PHP includes comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, active therapeutic intervention, and ongoing maintenance treatment aimed at reducing the risk of relapse, hospitalization, or legal involvement. This level of care is ideal for individuals who require intensive support but are not a danger to themselves or others.
Partial hospitalization serves as a step-down from residential treatment or may be pursued independently. It offers a level of intensity that falls between residential treatment and intensive outpatient care.
IOP
Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program provides regularly scheduled therapy sessions aimed at managing symptoms related to mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring diagnoses. IOP allows patients to receive high-quality, evidence-based care while remaining connected to their families, careers, and daily lives.
Treatment modalities may include group therapy, individual counseling, cognitive remediation, medication management, mindfulness meditation, art therapy, and additional supportive services. Each patient receives a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs and goals.
IOP is the least intensive level of care at Athena Behavioral Health Group and is appropriate for individuals who are stable and do not pose an immediate safety risk. It may serve as a transition from higher levels of care or as a standalone treatment option.
EIOP
Evening Intensive Outpatient Program
Athena's location offers an Evening Intensive Outpatient Program designed for adults who need treatment while balancing work, school, or family responsibilities. This program meets three evenings per week—Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday—from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Evening IOP includes structured therapeutic sessions focused on stages of change, process groups, mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, brain wellness, relationship repair, and the development of healthy support systems. This flexible option allows individuals to continue their daily routines while actively engaging in recovery.
