ODYSSEY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTERS
Healing Beyond the Surface
We are committed to guiding individuals toward long-term sobriety by treating the underlying causes of substance use disorders — not simply managing short-term symptoms.
Our structured, evidence-based approach fosters stability, resilience, and sustainable recovery.
Telehealth Services at Athena Behavioral Health
Completing treatment is a major milestone—but recovery doesn’t end at discharge. The transition back into daily life can be one of the most vulnerable stages of healing. Responsibilities return quickly, schedules fill up, and without consistent support, the risk of relapse or symptom resurgence can increase.
At Athena Behavioral Health, we offer Telehealth services to ensure continuity of care during early and long-term recovery. With virtual therapy, expert clinical support is always within reach—no matter where life takes you.
What Is Telehealth?
Telehealth at Athena Behavioral Health allows patients to receive ongoing, professional therapy remotely using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, patients can connect with licensed clinicians from the comfort and privacy of their own space.
Each patient is matched with a clinician experienced in treating their specific needs. Sessions closely mirror in-person therapy and typically last approximately 60 minutes, providing the same level of care, attention, and confidentiality as traditional office visits.
Telehealth is an integral part of Athena’s continuing care and relapse-prevention model, designed to support patients as they reintegrate into work, family, and daily responsibilities.
Why Telehealth Matters in Recovery
Psychotherapy is a cornerstone of long-term recovery from both addiction and mental health conditions. While detox and residential care address acute symptoms, the emotional and psychological roots of addiction and mental illness often take months—or longer—to fully resolve.
Telehealth ensures patients remain supported during this critical phase.
Benefits of Telehealth Include:
-
Flexible scheduling that fits busy lifestyles
-
No travel time or transportation barriers
-
Easy access to specialized clinicians
-
Consistent therapeutic support during life transitions
-
Ideal for patients in rural areas, with disabilities, or limited mobility
Research consistently shows that teletherapy is as effective as in-person psychotherapy, making it a powerful and accessible option for ongoing care.
Who Are Athena’s Telehealth Clinicians?
Athena Behavioral Health’s Telehealth clinicians are licensed, experienced mental health professionals who specialize in online therapy and continuing care.
-
Clinicians are licensed in the same state where the patient resides
-
Patients are matched based on diagnosis, history, and goals
-
Patients may request a change in clinician at any time to ensure the right fit
Our goal is to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, comfort, and clinical excellence.
